Our Employment Services focus on assessing individuals’ skills, goals, values, and strengths in relation to work. Individuals are supported to develop knowledge and skills that are needed to prepare for, obtain and maintain employment.

Employment Coaching Services
Our Employment Coordinators support and guide individuals to gain the skills and knowledge needed to be successful at work and maintain employment, with the goal of full independence in the workplace.

Employment Coordinators take an individualized approach when working with individuals to ensure that supports, referrals and next steps are applicable to every individual they serve.

Job Development Support
Our department works together to make a positive impact on the community by highlighting the strengths of individuals using our services.

Using our job development supports, you will work with the Employment Team to search for and apply to meaningful employment opportunities in the community. Job searching and applications can be completed at home or in-person with an Employment Coordinator.

Employment Workshops
The Abilities Centre offers free Employment Workshops. Workshops include guided learning and hands-on practice related to the topic. Workshops encourage discussion and learning by attendees. Topics include resume building, professional communication, workplace accommodations, interview skills, and more!
