At every gathering, we begin by acknowledging the land on which we live, work, and play. This practice helps us reflect on the unique relationships Indigenous persons and their ancestors have held with this land. As we continue to learn, we are reminded that true reconciliation begins with understanding.
As our COO, Ross Ste-Croix, shares:

"Our partnership with Dnaagdawenmag Binnoojiiyag Child & Family Services has helped us begin the journey to greater understanding of the Indigenous peoples whose land we live, work and play on. Their guidance has helped me to personalize my land acknowledgments, connecting to both the lands I currently live and work on, and those where I grew up. Only through greater understanding can we achieve our ultimate goal of inclusion for all."

Let us continue to listen, learn, and act to ensure inclusion and respect for all.
