Today as part of Global Accessibility Awareness Day, we're announcing our partnership with iMerciv Inc. as we work to tackle digital accessibility beginning with our support for the development and research of the accessible mobile app MapinHood! Our collaboration aims to promote the app's accessibility features across the pan disability community to increase the user adoption from people of all abilities.
MapinHood aims to make the pedestrian experience more accessible and safe for everyone by giving users full control of their routing options. Move around on your own terms! Choose what you wish to avoid and get notified in real time.
The app is also tackling Physical Distancing on sidewalks by taking users away from crowded sidewalks to help with social distance, whether you are out for an errand or just stepping out for some air.
This partnership further cultivates our unified goal toward improving universal inclusion, innovation and impact across Canada in alignment with Abilities Centre’s mission and strategic priorities. Learn more about Mapinhood:
