Abilities Centre Receives Durham Community Foundation Grant to Host Wheelchair Basketball Tournament
Whitby, ON – December 3rd, 2024 – Abilities Centre is proud to announce it has received a $1,260 grant from the Durham Community Foundation through the Durham Region Para Sport & Recreation Opportunities Fund. This funding will fully support the Abilities Centre Eagles as they host a wheelchair basketball tournament on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The grant will cover essential costs, including court fees, game balls, and coaches, ensuring a successful and inclusive event that highlights the skill and dedication of the athletes.
“This generous grant from the Durham Community Foundation allows us to host a tournament that brings people together to celebrate inclusivity, athleticism, and community,” said Michael Cvitkovic, CEO of Abilities Centre.
