Adult Social Club (ASC) is a social recreational program for adults with disabilities ages 21 and older. All activities are designed to provide opportunities to learn new skills, meet new friends, enhance self-esteem, and optimize personal growth. 

Club Activities

Regular club activities take place on the second and fourth Tuesday and Thursday of every month from 6:30 – 8:30 pm.  Activities consist of social networking and a variety of recreational activities including arts and crafts, games, music, and so much more! 

Community Outings

All participants in the Adult Social Club will have the opportunity to attend combined community outings. Two community outings are scheduled each month and members may choose to attend one of them.   

Please note: Refunds will only be issued if Abilities Centre cancels an outing.

Dances

Adult Social Club themed dances take place monthly and are held in the multi-purpose room at Abilities Centre from 7:30 - 9:30 pm. There is an additional cost of $5.00 to attend each dance and this includes light refreshments, and spot dance prizes. 

Dances are open to participants of Adult Social Club, Therapeutic Recreation, and Thrive.  

Adult Social Club Sports Night

Sports Night is a recreational sports program at Abilities Centre for adults with disabilities aged 18 and older.  All activities are focused on learning new skills, meeting new friends, enhancing self-esteem, personal growth and fun! 

Sports Night takes place the first and third Wednesday night of each month from 6:30pm - 8:30pm in the Abilities Centre field house. Program fees cover participation in the program from January until June, and September until December. Summer Sports and Social is offered from July through August.
